VANCOUVER, BC / ACCESSWIRE / June 18, 2024 / Klondike Gold Corp. (TSX.V:KG) (FRA:LBDP) (OTCQB:KDKGF) (“Klondike Gold” or the “Company”) has released the prospecting rock sample results from the Stander Zone targeting of orogenic gold mineralization at its Klondike District Property in the Yukon, Canada.
Peter Tallman, Klondike Gold’s President & CEO, highlighted the ongoing scientific and exploration efforts that are paying off. The discovery of high-grade orogenic gold veins at surface and in drill core, along with confirmation of continuity of the Stander Zone to surface with high-grade gold samples, has led to a focused drill program for 2024 in the Eldorado Creek area for potential significant gold mineralization discovery and the expansion of the Stander Zone mineral resource.
Prospecting Results
In May 2024, field work began to locate high-grade gold-bearing quartz veining based on previous drill intersections at the Stander Zone. Prospecting and hand trenching revealed quartz veining with visible gold in three separate areas, with samples assaying up to 41.2 g/t Au.
The prospecting results suggest continuity of high-grade gold mineralization from previous drill intercepts to surface exposures, enhancing the potential for significant gold discoveries at the Klondike District Property.
Phase 2 Drilling
A Phase 2 drilling program of approximately 2,500 meters has started, focusing on high-grade near-surface gold veining at the Stander Zone and additional mineralization at the Gay Gulch gold showing area.
The Company has also engaged MSALABS for gold analyses using ‘PhotonAssay’ for 2024. Phase 1 drill core samples have been submitted for analysis, with results expected in the coming weeks.
Upcoming Events
Looking ahead, Klondike Gold will be participating in various investment conferences and property tours to showcase its progress and potential opportunities for investors.
