Kinghorn and Debrunner are set to compete against each other once more in the 400m race scheduled for Thursday.
It is noteworthy that Kinghorn’s victory makes her the first non-Chinese athlete to win the Paralympic T53 100m event since Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson of Britain accomplished the feat in Athens back in 2004.
