American sprinter Noah Lyles secured a gold medal in the men’s 100-meter sprint on day nine of the 2024 Paris Olympics in a thrilling finish that left viewers on the edge of their seats.
In a nail-biting race, Lyles narrowly beat out Jamaica’s Kishane Thompson, with a mere 0.005-second lead, making it one of the closest sprints in Olympic history. Team USA’s Fred Kerley grabbed the bronze medal in the event with a time of 9.81 seconds.
