Exciting Discovery at Chris Creek Target
White Gold Corp. recently announced the discovery of gold-bearing altered and mineralized intrusives over a 1,250-meter section of the newly identified Chris Creek target on its QV property, showcasing the further exploration potential in the rapidly emerging White Gold District.
Expanding Exploration Efforts
The White Gold property, situated approximately 95 kilometers south of Dawson City, covers a significant portion of the White Gold District, totaling around 350,000 hectares. This vast land package includes key deposits such as the Golden Saddle, Arc, and Ryan’s Surprise on the White Gold property, as well as the VG deposit on the QV property.
Recent resource calculations indicate that these deposits host a substantial amount of gold resources, with a combined 16.11 million metric tons of indicated resource and 18.99 million metric tons of inferred resource.
Insight: Potential for Resource Expansion
As White Gold kicks off its exploration season and evaluates high-priority targets, the discovery at Chris Creek presents a promising opportunity for resource expansion. The significant mineralization potential in the area, coupled with the proximity to established resources, suggests a strong potential for increasing the resource capacity in the region.
In further support of this potential, the company has initiated a diamond drilling program at Chris Creek to assess the mineralization in more detail. The target’s geological similarities to the VG and Golden Saddle deposits indicate a promising outlook for future resource growth.
Uncovering New Opportunities
The exploration efforts at Chris Creek have revealed a 5.2-kilometer extension of the gold-in-soil anomaly, showcasing the highest gold values to date. The surface rock sampling over the 1,250-meter stretch has detected not only gold but also anomalous silver and tellurium in altered and mineralized intrusive rocks.
With additional targets along a mineralized trend in the area that have seen minimal exploration, White Gold aims to continue advancing its underexplored and prospective properties. The company’s comprehensive exploration program, including soil sampling, geological mapping, and geophysical surveys, is designed to identify more high-priority targets and expand the resource base within the White Gold District.
