With just over a week until Apple’s iPhone 16 series is revealed, a leaked image has given us a sneak peek at the rumored gold titanium color expected on the Pro and Pro Max models this year.
The image, shared by 9to5Mac, was created by a reliable inside source. It showcases the back of an iPhone 16 Pro in a case, offering a glimpse of the new Capture button design.
Previous rumors have hinted at this new color, sparking debate about its exact shade and the official name Apple will use. Speculations include gold, brown, bronze, or desert, with the final name expected to include the word Titanium to align with other color options.
Going for gold… again

If the rumored gold shade does make an appearance on the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max, it will mark the return of an old favorite color. Gold has been a staple on iPhone models since the iPhone XS in 2018, except for the iPhone 15 series.
Expected colors for the 2024 Pro and Pro Max models include Natural (or Gray) Titanium, White Titanium, Black Titanium, and Desert Titanium, with the latter being a new addition introduced last year.
