Red Mountain Mining Limited (“RMX” or the “Company”) has completed a detailed desktop review of historical exploration at Flicka Lake, part of the Fry Lake Gold Project in Canada. This review identified three gold-bearing parallel quartz veins, validated by Troon Ventures Ltd using channel and grab samples taken from mineralized quartz zones exposed in trenches.
### Insight: Potential for Gold Lode Mineralization
The historical exploration in the Flicka Lake area, particularly the proximity to the Golden Patricia Mine, has shown promising results in terms of gold mineralization. The validation sampling done in 2002 and 2006 revealed impressive assay results, with grab samples reporting up to 17.88 g/t Au and channel samples up to 12.96 g/t Au. These findings indicate the presence of significant gold-bearing structures within the region, potentially signaling the existence of lode mineralization.
### Validation Sampling and Results
The exploration efforts at Flicka Lake have focused on three gold-bearing structures hosted by gabbroic rocks. These structures exhibit characteristics such as pinching and swelling, with vein widths up to 30 cm. The mineralized zones are hosted in discrete altered zones, showcasing the geological complexity of the area. The validation sampling results, including values like 20.07 g/t Au in Vein #3 and 9.96 g/t Au in Vein #2, further highlight the presence of significant gold deposits within the project area.
### Continued Exploration Efforts
Following the completion of the desktop review, RMX has conducted its maiden sampling program at Flicka Lake, aiming to further delineate the gold-bearing quartz veins. The comprehensive sampling program covers not only the identified target zones but also structural and geophysical targets across the claim area. The incorporation of anomalous copper target zones enhances the exploration potential of the project, broadening the scope of mineralization beyond gold.
### Future Prospects
As RMX awaits the assay results from the recent sampling program, the company remains optimistic about the potential for discovering additional mineralized zones within the Fry Lake Gold Project. With a strategic focus on gold lode mineralization and the identification of key target areas, RMX is poised to further explore the geological potential of the Flicka Lake claims. The upcoming assay results, inclusive of gold and base metals suite analysis, will provide critical insights into the mineralization patterns and guide future exploration activities.
