Dr. Jeffrey Gold, the newly appointed University of Nebraska president, has embarked on a statewide tour starting from July 1. His tour includes stops in Norfolk, Columbus, and Valentine over the course of five days.

During his tour, Dr. Gold will engage in conversations with Nebraskans to discuss the future of the university and Nebraska’s growth and competitiveness.

On Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., Dr. Gold will participate in a meeting and tour at Northeast Community College in Norfolk. The visit will take place at the college’s vet tech facility located at 2301 E. Benjamin Ave. In Columbus, a reception with community leaders will follow at 5:30 p.m. at the Columbus Innovation Center, 2311 14th St.

Dr. Gold will also visit Valentine on Thursday, Aug. 1, at 5:30 p.m. for a reception with community leaders at Bolo Beer Co., 420 E. First St.
