One person was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries Tuesday afternoon after a shooting in Reston, Virginia, that prompted a search involving a helicopter and K-9 units. The shooting occurred inside Gold’s Gym on Sunrise Valley Drive, where a man was shot dead while working out, leading to a swift and targeted attack.
The Fairfax County Police Department reported that both the victim and suspect were inside the gym when the suspect approached and shot the victim. The victim was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The police are actively searching for the suspect, described as a heavyset man between 25 and 30 years old, wearing a black shirt and pants, glasses, and carrying a large “swing bag.” He was last seen fleeing towards Reston Parkway.
