The Foreshore Estate Police on the Hunt for Thief of ₹2 Crore Worth of Gold, Silver, and Cash
The Foreshore Estate police are currently in pursuit of a man accused of stealing gold jewellery, silver articles, and cash amounting to nearly ₹2 crore from an apartment in MRC Nagar. The suspect, identified as Saravanan, was employed as a driver by a stock exchange operator residing in a multi-storey apartment in Satyadev Avenue of MRC Nagar.
In a report filed by the businessman, L. Gopalakrishnan, he expressed his suspicions about Saravanan and subsequently sent him away for not performing his duties satisfactorily. Upon inspecting his home, Gopalakrishnan discovered that 250 sovereigns of gold jewellery, 10kg of silver articles, and ₹25 lakh in cash had been stolen between May 25 and June 27.
