Motorhome Fire on Interstate 80
CALFIRE has reported crews are on the scene of a motorhome that caught on fire and spread to adjacent vegetation at Interstate 80 near the Gold Run exit. The main fire covered approximately half an acre, with a secondary spot burning about a quarter of an acre on the west side.
Fire crews were able to stop the forward progress of the fire, preventing further spread.
Interstate 80 Lane Reopenings
According to a post from Caltrans, the Eastbound number one lane and both Westbound lanes of Interstate 80 have now reopened between Colfax and Gold Run in the Sierra.
